Ian Brophy

Ian Brophy was named the Head Coach of the University of Mount Olive Women's soccer team in February of 2022.

"I am honored to be entrusted to lead the University of Mount Olive Women's Soccer program as its next head coach. I would also like to thank my family, previous players, coaches, and everyone at Florida Southern College for helping me get to this point. I could not be more proud or excited to build upon the success that this Mount Olive program has had in producing quality individuals and champions," said Brophy.

Brophy comes to UMO from Florida Southern College, where he was an assistant for the women's soccer team for five years. While there he specialized in recruiting, clinics, video analysis, and game plans. He also assisted in the Mocs having the fourth lowest goals against average in school history during his first season.

He started his coaching career in Ontario, Oregon, serving as the Women's Soccer Assistant Coach for two years at Treasure Valley Community College, taking the program from 2-14-2 to 16-3-3 in his first season.

Following his time at TVCC, Brophy had coaching stints at Yalla SD as the Assistant Director of Coaching and Head Coach as well as NCAA Division III Knox College in Galesburg, Ill. While at Knox, he helped lead the program to their first NCAA Tournament appearance, including their first conference championship and tournament championship, as well as a No. 25 national ranking.

Brophy received his Bachelor's degree in Journalism from Emerson College in Boston, Ma.
