Erica Slack joined the University of Mount Olive athletic department as the Assistant Women's Soccer Coach in 2015.
The Trojans went 6-6-2 overall in 2016 and collected a 4-5-2 conference record. Slack helped coach UMO to a nil-nil in double overtime tie against rival Barton, one of nine shutouts the team collected throughout the season. In the classroom, the Trojans placed nine ladies on the Conference Carolinas All-Academic Team.
During her first year at Mount Olive, she helped lead the Trojans to a 9-6-2 Overall and 7-2-2 Conference Carolinas record. She helped coach three All-Conference Carolinas honorees in the best season for women's soccer in four years.
Slack joins Mount Olive from Richmond, Va. where she was the Head Coach for the U11 and U12 Richmond Kickers women's soccer teams from 2011-2014. Before her stint in Richmond, Slack was the Assistant Women's Soccer and Keepers coach at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh from 2008-2010.
A Green Bay, Wisconsin native, Slack received her Social Studies Teaching Degree in 2005 from Minnesota State University Mankato. She was a four-year member of the Mavericks women's soccer team as a Keeper. She was also a member of the 2003 Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Championship team and NCAA Division II Sweet 16 squad, starting in goal. In 2004, Slack was named team captain and was also named to the academic all-conference team. She also was a recipient of the Maverick Achievement Award.
Slack has an NSCAA National Coaching Diploma, NSCAA National Goalkeeping Diploma, and attended the Algarve Cup Symposium Algarve, Portugal, as well as the Ajax Coaching Seminar.
Slack resides with her Husband, Jonathan Slack, and their Pointer Mix Scout. The Slacks can be found rooting for the Green Bay Packers every Sunday during football season.
