Lane Brunkala joins the Trojans as an assistant coach for the women's lacrosse program for the 2020-2021 season.
Brunkala comes to Mount Olive after spending the past two years as a graduate assistant coach for the women's lacrosse team at Tiffin University in Ohio. During this time Brunkala coached four first team All-Great Midwest Athletic Conference (GMAC) players and three second team All-GMAC players. Additionally, Brunkala helped guide the team to a 2019 Regular Season Championship. In addition to contributing her coaching talent to Tiffin University, Brunkala has coached for Major Force Lacrosse, a girl's club lacrosse program, since 2018.
Brunkala earned her Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science from Walsh University and her Master's Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Sports Management from Tiffin. While at Walsh University, Brunkala served as a four-year starter on the Division II lacrosse team and was a captain her senior year. By her final season, Brunkala secured accolades including third all-time in goals per season, fourth all-time in career points, and first all-time in career free position points.
