Mark Bowman

Bowman comes to Mount Olive following a two-year coaching stint at Randolph College in Lynchburg, Virginia. While at Lynchburg Bowman helped coach the goalkeepers to a 1.65 goals-against average and a 71% save percentage. He also assisted in getting the Wildcats to an appearance in the ODAC Conference Tournament Quarterfinals in back-to-back seasons. Also while Bowman was at RC, he was the Head of the Boys Soccer Program at Appomattox County High School for three years. During his tenure, the goalkeepers managed a 1.09 GAA and had a first-team all-conference selection, while the team reached the state semi-finals.

He has also served as a level 8 soccer referee for the Blue Ridge Soccer Officials since 2017. Bowman has also served on the coaching staff at Liberty University, F.C. Lions De Timbi Madina, and the University of Valley Forge. While on staff at Liberty, Bowman created and oversaw a real-time tracking analytics system for game stats for over 30 categories per player that where both qualitative and quantitative. 

Bowman played his collegiate soccer at the University of Valley Forge before obtaining his Bachelor in Sport Management from Liberty University.

At Valley Forge Bowman recorded 168 saves and had a 70+ save percentage during his career.

He currently holds his USSF D License, as well as his Goalkeeping 2 Diploma from the United Soccer Coaches. He resides in Goldsboro with his wife Rachel, and their daughter Olivia.
