MOUNT OLIVE  – The University of Mount Olive Athletic Department and Hour-A-Thon recently held its annual fundraising event and raised an impressive $161,630, with over 500 donors participating following a commitment from every sport, coach, and student-athlete. The Trojans raised $30,000 more than last year's Hour-A-Thon, demonstrating the continued commitment and support of the UMO community. 

The Trojans had six programs exceed $10,000 in donations during the Hour-A-Thon. The baseball program led the way, raising over $20,000, while men's lacrosse, women's lacrosse, track and field, and men's wrestling rounded out the top five, with each program raising over $12,000. The strong results across the athletic department showcased the dedication of UMO's student-athletes, coaches, and supporters. 

"It's a Great Day to be a Trojan! It was amazing to see our student-athletes and coaches texting and calling donors for their support of UMO Athletics," said Director of Athletics Joey Higginbotham. "We appreciate every donor for their contribution. Their generosity will go directly to improving the student-athlete experience at Mount Olive. Raising $30,000 more than last year's Hour-A-Thon is a tremendous accomplishment and a testament to the commitment of our entire Trojan family." 

Per Hour-A-Thon, the Trojans accomplished one of the largest results of the year.
