Trojans Open Season With Strong Showing at UC Invitational

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — The University of Mount Olive women's golf team opened its 2026-27 season with a solid performance at the UC Invitational, hosted by the University of Charleston (W.Va.) at Edgewood Country Club. The Trojans finished third in the team standings at 42-over par after two rounds of competition. The final round was canceled, leaving the tournament as a 36-hole event.

Karsyn Roberts led the way for Mount Olive, finishing tied for sixth among 76 golfers at 5-over par. Roberts carded rounds of 1-over and 4-over, with her opening-round score ranking as the third-best individual round in the field. Lucie Levet followed with a 17th-place finish at 10-over par after rounds of 4-over and 6-over. Brynn Bishop placed tied for 21st at 13-over par, recording rounds of 7-over and 6-over. Valentina Agostino finished tied for 23rd at 14-over par after shooting 8-over in the opening round and 6-over in the second. Brigdy Connors rounded out the Trojan lineup, placing tied for 48th at 28-over par with rounds of 15-over and 13-over.

Mount Olive finished behind host Charleston (W.Va.) and Glenville State in the team standings, while turning in a strong showing to begin the new season.

The Trojans return to action as the 2026-27 season continues.
