MOUNT OLIVE — Rasmus Grindheim has been named Conference Carolinas Men's Tennis Player of the Week, as announced by the Conference Carolinas on Wednesday afternoon.
Grindheim delivered a strong performance for the Trojans, going 1-0 in singles play at the No. 4 position. He secured a decisive 6-2, 6-1 victory over Viktor Viraghalmi of Francis Marion University.
In doubles action, Grindheim teamed up with
Niklas Gruenefeldt at the No. 2 spot, posting a perfect 2-0 record. The duo earned a dominant 6-1 win over Francis Marion's pairing of Miguel Maia and Viraghalmi, before adding a 6-3 victory against Eduardo Brustia and Andres Ayala of Shaw University.
Grindheim's efforts helped lead Mount Olive to a successful week of competition and earned him conference recognition for his standout play.
The Trojans will return to action on Friday, traveling to face Barton College in Wilson at 2 p.m.
