MOUNT OLIVE – A few minutes short of a two hour long game ends in a 15-9 win for the Mount Olive Trojans men's lacrosse team as they competed against conference opponent Emmanuel University.
In the first quarter only two goals were scored to keep the score even. Trojan standout player
Benjamin Vanderkley scored the first goal along with four other goals in the game. The seven other goal scorers in the game were Mikey, Stavrianakis and
Brayden Rieger both with three goals, while
Micaiah Boyle,
Charles Gott,
Trent Steele, and
Joshua Dewart all contributed one.
Steele and
Tyler Michael both had two assists for the Trojans.
Gannon Hackler and Jason Johsnon both caused two turnovers.
The Trojans played an offensive game, but goalkeeper
Kurtis Lensing still had an outstanding game having 13 saves after facing 39 shots and 9 goals against.
The Trojans will be on the road against Conference rival North Greenville Mar. 28 at 12 p.m. in Tigerville, SC.
