SPARTANBURG, S.C. — The University of Mount Olive women's cross country team placed 23rd at the Upstate Invite on Saturday, Oct. 17, at Milliken Arboretum, competing against a deep field featuring 36 teams, including 20 Division I programs and Power Five school Duke.
The Trojans finished with 681 points for 23rd place. Despite the highly competitive field, Mount Olive finished as the sixth-highest Division II team at the meet. Duke claimed the team title with 17 points, followed by Mercer (124) and East Tennessee State (135).
Alexandria White led Mount Olive, finishing 101st overall in 19:15.0. Danielle Johnston followed in 103rd with a time of 19:18.1, while Claire Aponte placed 146th in 19:57.3.

The Upstate Invite provided Mount Olive with valuable experience against a challenging field of Division I and Division II competition as the Trojans continue their 2026 season and prepare for postseason competition.
The Trojans finish out the season at Upstate as they prepare for the 2026 Conference Carolinas Cross Country Championships on Nov. 7 in Spartanburg, S.C. at the Milken Research Park.
