GRIMESLAND — The University of Mount Olive women's cross country team earned a fourth-place finish at the Dill Family Foundation Invitational at Lake Kristi, placing fourth among five teams in the women's 6K race.

The Trojans finished with a team score of 68 and a combined time of 2:05:45, finishing ahead of Conference Carolinas opponent Barton (132). East Carolina won the team competition with 35 points, followed by UNCW (57) and Campbell (58).

Claire Aponte paced Mount Olive with a fifth-place finish, completing the 6K course in 23:21.9. Danielle Johnston followed closely in seventh place with a time of 23:25.9, while Alexandria White finished ninth in 23:50.0, giving the Trojans three runners in the top 10.

Raven Richardson placed 25th overall with a time of 26:23.6, while Vanessa Skorski finished 26th in 28:44.0. Victoria Badgett rounded out the Mount Olive finishers in 27th place, crossing the line in 30:35.6.
