Mount Olive Women’s Tennis Selected Fourth in Conference Carolinas Preseason Poll

GREENVILLE, S.C. The University of Mount Olive women's tennis team was picked to finish fourth in the Conference Carolinas Preseason Poll, as announced by the league office Friday morning.

The Trojans collected 128 points to place fourth, narrowly trailing Belmont Abbey, which finished third with 130 points and two first-place votes. Lees-McRae and Erskine tied atop the poll with 160 points each, but Lees-McRae claimed the top spot with seven first-place votes compared to Erskine's five. Francis Marion rounded out the top five with 116 points.

Players to watch for Mount Olive include Nina Bernier, Victoria Calle, and Simone Szovan.

Bernier, a 2025 All-Conference Third Team selection, leads the group alongside Calle and Szovan, as the trio carries momentum from a strong fall season into the spring under first-year head coach Andrew Sernek.

The Trojans open their spring season at home against Campbell on Saturday, Jan. 31, at 2 p.m.
