Mount Olive Men’s Tennis Picked Fourth in Conference Carolinas Preseason Poll

GREENVILLE, S.C. The University of Mount Olive men's tennis team was selected to finish fourth in the Conference Carolinas Preseason Poll, as announced by the league office Friday morning.

The Trojans earned 105 points to place fourth overall. Belmont Abbey topped the poll with 140 points and five first-place votes, followed by Francis Marion with 123 points and three first-place votes, and Converse with 117 points. Emmanuel (Ga.) rounded out the top five with 92 points.

Players to watch for Mount Olive include Niklas Gruenefeldt, Kritoffer Dalbak, and Bram Poel.

Poel, a 2025 Conference Carolinas All-Conference Second Team selection and Elite 23 Award winner, enters his senior season with the Trojans. Dalbak earned All-Conference First Team honors last year, while Gruenefeldt adds veteran experience to a Mount Olive squad aiming to make an impact under first-year head coach Andrew Sernek.

The Trojans open the 2026 season at home against Campbell on Jan. 31 at 11 a.m.
