Game Recap: Women's Soccer | | Alisia Lovejoy

UMO Falls Short in first Conference Game

MOUNT OLIVE - The Mount Olive women's soccer team fought hard but was unable to achieve a win against Francis Marion who won 2-0. 
 
Goalkeeper Anais Coyne played a full 90 minutes for the Trojans, collecting six saves and only allowing two goals. Even with two goals in the first 20 minutes of the game, Coyne held the Patriots scoreless for the rest of the game. 

Mount Olive totaled six shots on goal: Natalia Kaminski racked up three for the Trojans. Addison Dangler, Riley Booth, and Hannah Barton were also able to get a shot on goal.  

Kaminski lead the team in shots totaling seven in todays match. Barton and Dangler both had three total shots. Patriots goalkeeper tallied six saves, while Cora Lepper and Tehya Dave both brought the Patriots a win.   

 
Mount Olive plays again at home this week on Saturday the 20th for a night game at 7:00PM against UNC Pembroke.
