SNOW HILL, N.C. (April 7) – Following the second round of play on Monday, the University of Mount Olive women's golf program is tied for fifth overall in the team standings while competing at the Conference Carolinas Championship.

The Trojans fell four positions in the standings into a tie for fifth with a score of 60-over 636 (311-325) while featuring a trio of golfers in the top 25. Erskine leaped atop the leaderboard after firing the lowest score of the championship on Monday, boasting a score of 47-over 623 (318-305). UNC Pembroke remained second overall with a 52-over 628 (313-315), and Barton rounded out the top three at 53-over 629 (314-315).

Sophomore Lucie Levet remained within the top 10 on the individual leaderboard and climbed into a tie for fifth at eight-over 152 (76-76). She shot a solid one-over on the front nine on Monday, totaling a combined five birdies and 18 pars over 36 holes of play.

Junior Aoi Ito carded a 16-over 160 (76-84) with 16 pars to sit in a tie of 17th at the league tournament. Sophomore Valentina Agostino is tied for 22nd following the second round at Cutter Creek Golf Club with a score of 17-over 161 (77-84) while converting 17 pars. Senior Victoria Morelli holds a score of 19-over 163 (82-8) with one birdie and 15 pars to sit in a tie for 28th.

Junior Elin Kennborn competed in the second round and shot a 12-over 84 with one birdie and seven pars.

Erskine freshman Maddie McNeece holds a two-stroke lead on the individual leaderboard with a score of four-over 148 (76-72) with six birdies and 17 pars over two rounds of competition.

Mount Olive closes out the third and final round at the Conference Carolinas Championships tomorrow, Tuesday, April 8, with tee times at approximately 9:00 a.m.
