TIGERVILLE, S.C. (March 28) – The University of Mount Olive women's tennis team delivered a 4-3 victory on Friday afternoon against North Greenville in Conference Carolinas action at the Vance Tennis Complex.
With the win, the Trojans improve to 5-6 this season behind a 3-1 record in conference play. Mount Olive captured its seventh consecutive win over North Greenville since 2017 and currently holds fourth place in the league standings. Meanwhile, the Trailblazers drop to 4-12 this season with a 1-3 record in conference action.

Alina Esser registered a 7-5 victory in the third doubles versus Martina Cairus and Ashlen Chapman.
In the singles session, the Trojans secured three of the possible six matches to capture a 4-3 win over the Trailblazers. Stamereilers lost in straight sets by a 4-6, 3-6 margin against Chisholm in the first position, while freshman
Claudia Cerdan suffered a 0-6, 1-6 loss in the second singles to Watson. In the third slot, Szovan fell by a final score of 1-6, 1-6 versus McKenzie in the third slot before Calle answered back with a 6-2, 6-4 victory over Houtsofta in the fourth position. Bernier delivered a fast straight sets win by a score of 6-0, 6-0 against Riley Gunter in the fifth singles, while freshman
Julie Jagiella posted a 6-2, 6-1 victory over Megan Turner in the sixth slot.
The Trojans will return to Conference Carolinas action on Saturday, March 29, when they travel to face Young Harris at 2 p.m.
