GREENVILLE, S.C. (June 13) – A total of 336 University of Mount Olive student-athletes, representing all sports (fall, winter, and spring), were named to the Spring Presidential Honor Roll Presented by Southern Recognition LLC on Thursday.
The Presidential Honor Roll, compiled at the end of the fall and spring semesters, recognizes student-athletes who have earned a 3.20 grade-point average (GPA) on a 4.00 scale. A student-athlete that earned a GPA between 3.20-3.59 is recognized as cum laude, a student-athlete that earned a GPA between 3.60-3.99 is recognized as magna cum laude and a student-athlete that earned a GPA of 4.0 is recognized as summa cum laude.
In terms of pure numbers, baseball led all sports with 30 representatives on the Honor Roll, followed by women's soccer (27), women's lacrosse (24), men's soccer (23), women's track & field (21), men's lacrosse (21), and men's wrestling (20). The Trojans featured a total of 35 student-athletes with a perfect 4.0 GPA.
The UMO student-athletes were part of over 3,600 recipients from the Conference Carolinas.
