Karla Hormazabal each competed in the triple jump on the second day of the NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships hosted by Pittsburg State on Saturday.
Wilson-McCoy made his first-ever appearance at nationals and placed 14th overall after posting a distance of 14.54 meters (47-8.50 feet) on his final attempt of the event. He closes his first indoor season with several accolades, including USTFCCCA all-region honors, breaking the school record in triple jump, and capturing the league crown in the event.
Hormazabal also made her debut at the championship event and registered a 16th-place finish with a distance of 11.86 meters, which she posted on her second attempt. She concludes the indoor season with multiple awards, including Conference Carolinas Field Athlete of the Year and USTFCCCA all-region honors in the triple jump.
