HARTSVILLE, S.C. (Feb. 25) – After securing five of the six singles matches, the Trojans continued their winning streak with a 5-2 victory at Coker on Sunday afternoon in a Southeast Region non-conference match.

With the win, the University of Mount Olive men's tennis program has won four in a row and improve to 4-1 overall behind a 3-0 mark on the road. The Trojans have claimed the last five meetings in the series and boast a 6-1 mark against the Cobras dating back to 2011. Meanwhile, Coker drops to 1-4 this season with a 0-3 mark against Conference Carolinas opponents.

The Cobras secured the doubles point on Saturday afternoon with a sweep of all three matches before the event was suspended due to rain. Sophomore Niklas Gruenefeldt and senior Adam Ibrahim were dealt a 2-6 defeat by Samuel Winter and Bernardo Peralta in second doubles, while freshman Lenn Hoffmann and sophomore Bram Poel fell by a 3-6 margin in the third slot against Andy Huynh and Joao Casa Moreira.

In the singles portion of the match, Mount Olive rallied back and claimed five victories, including four in straight sets. de Oliveira battled to a 6-4, 7-6 (7-3) win in the first position over Decaluwe before Gruenefeldt sealed a 6-3, 7-5 decision over Winter in second singles. In the third slot, Dalbak cruised to a 6-2, 6-4 victory versus Huynh, while Poel registered a 6-2, 6-4 win over Carlos Fernando Nau in the fourth position. Sophomore Kabir Chhabira suffered the only loss by a 4-6, 6-7 (4-7) margin to Casa Moreira before Ibrahim produced a 6-4, 5-7, 1-0 (10-8) victory in the sixth singles.
