ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. (Oct. 22) – In the final tournament of the fall schedule, sophomore
Lucie Levet earned a top-15 finish at the Flagler Fall Slam, as the University of Mount Olive women's golf team placed eighth in the team standings on Tuesday.
Mount Olive finished eighth overall with a score of 50-over 626 (312-314) behind a pair of golfers in the top 25 on the individual leaderboard. The host Saints secured the tournament title by 23 strokes with a two-over 578 (295-283) and featured the individual champion. Daytona State placed second overall after shooting a 25-over 601 (298-303) while Seminole State and Palm Beach Atlantic tied for third with a 27-over 603.
Levet collected her third top-15 finish of the fall season after tying for 13th overall with a score of eight-over 152 (78-74). She climbed 10 positions on the leaderboard during the final round and finished with three birdies and 23 pars at the Marsh Creek Country Club.
Junior
Aoi Ito tied for 22nd overall after carding an 11-over 155 (78-77) over two rounds of competition. She completed the event with one birdie and 24 pars, including 13 par putts during her final round on Tuesday. Sophomore
Valentina Agostino placed 10 spots back in a tie for 33rd following a score of 15-over 159 (78-81) and converted 24 pars.
Senior
Victoria Morelli shot a 21-over 165 (78-87) to tie for 52nd after leading the team with four birdies while knocking down 13 pars. Junior
Elin Kennborn tied for 59th overall in the field with a final score of 27-over 171 (89-82) behind 12 pars.
Flagler senior Jordyn Hodgson captured the individual title by three strokes after firing a four-under 140 (72-68) with seven birdies.
