MOUNT OLIVE (April 4) – On Senior Day, the No. 43 ranked University of Mount Olive women's tennis team competed against Barton at the John Neal Walker Tennis Center on Tuesday afternoon and fell by a 7-0 margin.
With the loss, the Trojans fall to 9-10 overall with a 5-1 mark in Conference Carolinas play after suffering their first conference loss this season. Meanwhile, the Bulldogs improve to 8-9 overall with a 4-2 mark in league play.

Nele Weber registered their first conference loss this season by a score of 6-3 against Tilde Howeler and Irma Granstam. In the second position, senior

Jessica Aylward suffered their second conference loss dropping their match in the third doubles with a score of 6-4 against Osenyonye Nwokolo and Alexandra Saez Lozano.
In singles play, BC continued to dominate winning all six matches. In the first slot, Montserrat was dealt a 6-3, 6-3 loss by Howeler. Afterward, Aylward in the fifth position, fell 6-2, 6-4, against Leonie Hellum-Lilleengen before in the third slot, Weber lost 7-5, 6-4 to Saez Lozano. In the second position, Voloshyna dropped a 6-3, 6-2 contest to Fernandez-Trabadelo before Servien fell 6-2, 6-3 to Granstam at No. 4 singles. In the sixth singles, freshman
Lea Edelstein closed out singles play with a 6-3, 6-2 loss to Pita.
