BRISTOL, Tenn. (April 11) – To begin the final week of the regular season, the No. 42 Trojans secured a 5-0 win on the road at King in Conference Carolinas action on Tuesday afternoon.
With the win, the University of Mount Olive women's tennis team improves to 10-10 this season with a 6-1 mark in league action. The Trojans remain among the top three in the conference standings with three matches left. Meanwhile, King drops to 4-12 overall behind an 0-10 record in league play.

Nele Weber defeated Deniz Aytun and Mishka Koricinova by a 6-1 margin to improve to 13-3 as a duo this season. Senior

Oriana Izarra clinched their seventh-straight win after posting a 4-2 win at second doubles over Mireia Mas Ortega and Neem Shamsuddin. Junior

Laura Servien won by default in the third position following a withdrawal.
The Trojans secured the match victory after winning four singles matches against the Tornado. At first singles, Montserrat claimed a win by a score of 7-5, 6-1 over Aytun to improve to 4-2 in league contests. Izarra delivered a consecutive victory after posting a 6-2, 6-4 win against Shamsuddin in the third position before UMO secured two wins via withdrawal in the fifth and sixth slots. Voloshyna had her match go unfinished following the previous results with the contest tied 4-6, 6-3 versus Koricinova. The match scheduled in the fourth position had no result.
The Trojans continue their road trip tomorrow, Wednesday, April 12, when they travel to Banner Elk, North Carolina, to take on Lees-McRae at 1 p.m.
