BRISTOL, TENN-- The University of Mount Olive fell to the Tornados of King University 3-1 in Conference Carolinas action on Saturday. This loss takes the Trojans to 14-6 overall and 11-3 in conference.
Mount Olive opened up the first set with an early 6-3 lead over King. The Tornados answered with a three-point run to take the 9-8 lead. The two Conference Carolinas teams were back and forth until another three-point King run extended their lead to five, 20-15. The Trojans went on their three-point run but could not close out the victory as the Tornados took set one 25-19.
The second set saw each team going point-for-point until a three-point King run 10-8. The Tornados carried their momentum to another three-point run extending their lead to 13-9. The Trojans could not find an answer for King as the Tornados took a 23-17 lead. The Trojans could not answer before the Tornados set two 25-19.
Set three opened up point-for-point until a two-point King run 6-5. UMO took a crucial four-point run to take the 14-10 lead. King battled back to be within one of the Trojans 19-18. With the game tied at 20, Mount Olive found the last-minute energy they needed to secure set three 25-23.
The fourth set saw an early 4-3 King lead. The Tornados ran with their momentum to score five straight points, 10-5. The Trojans could not find an answer as the Tornados lead grew to 20-10. King closed out set four and the match 25-16.

Eric Visgitis led the Trojans with 11 kills, while Jarrod Ferguson had 38 assists.
TORNADOS LEADER
Suetonius Harris led the Tornados with 19 kills.
