BELMONT, NC - The University of Mount Olive Men's tennis falls to Belmont Abbey College in a conference matchup Saturday afternoon in Belmont, N.C.
MATCH INFORMATION
The Crusaders dominated the doubles play by winning all three match-ups, earning the doubles point.
UMO then went 3-3 in singles to finish the match with an overall score of 3-4.
INSIDE THE RESULTS
- The Trojans lost all three doubles match-ups.
- The Crusaders beat the No. 1 duo from UMO (Armando Ferreira/Guilherme Zotin) 7-6. The Crusaders also won No. 3 doubles against Adam Ibrahim/Diego Ortega 6-1 and No.2 doubles 6-2 against Elios Briand/Gregory Normand.
- The Trojans then battled in the singles round and UMO managed to win three singles flights to finish with an overall score of 3-4.
- The Crusaders won singles flights No. 1 against Armando Ferreira, No. 2 against Adam Ibrahim and No. 3 against Guilherme Zotin (6-2 6-3, 6-1 6-2 and 6-3 6-2).
- Singles flights four, five and six finished up the match as Israel Rojas won the No. 4 flight 0-6 7-5 6-2 and Aditya Balda got the win at No. 5 flight 6-4 1-6 6-4.
- No. 6 Gregory Normand defeated the Crusader Kai Lloveras 2-6 6-4 7-5.
