SPARTANBURG, SC - The University of Mount Olive Women's tennis team beat Converse University 6-1 in a conference matchup Friday afternoon in Spartanburg, S.C.

The Trojans dominated the doubles play by winning all three match-ups, earning the doubles point.
UMO then went 5-1 in singles to finish the match with an overall score of 6-1.

- Ingrid Montserrat and Deike Schipper dealt the No. 2 duo from Converse a 6-0 loss, while No. 1 Liza Voloshyna/Nele Weber and No. 2 Bipasha Mehn/Jessica Aylward won 6-2 against the Valkyries.
- The Trojans brought this winning momentum in the singles round as UMO players won five of their singles flights to give UMO the 6-1 victory.
- Deike Schipper got the singles action started with a quick 6-2, 6-1 in the No. 5 flight.
- Nele Weber followed with a 6-3, 6-2 win at No. 3 and Ingrid Montserrat won the No. 1 flight in three sets (4-6, 6-2, 6-2).
- The even numbers closed out the match as Ece Yuksel won the No. 4 flight 6-0, 6-2, and Bipasha Mehn the No. 6 flight 8-1.
- The Valkyrie T. Glogowski-Watson defeated Trojan Liza Voloshyna in flight two 6-2 6-1.
