SPARTANBURG, SC - The University of Mount Olive Men's tennis team beat Converse University 6-1 in a conference matchup Friday afternoon in Spartanburg, S.C.

The Trojans dominated the doubles play by winning all three match-ups, earning the doubles point.
UMO then went 5-1 in singles to finish the match with an overall score of 6-1.
INSIDE THE RESULTS
- The Trojans dominated the doubles play winning two out of three matches to claim the doubles point.
- Armando Ferreira and Guilherme Zotin dealt the No. 1 duo from Converse a 6-2 loss, while No. Adam Ibrahim/Diego Ortega and won 6-3 against the Valkyries.
- The Trojans brought this winning momentum in the singles round as UMO players won five of their singles flights to give UMO the 6-1 victory.
- Armando Ferreira got the singles action started with a 6-3, 6-4 win in the No. 1 flight.
- Guilherme Zotin followed with a 2-6 6-3 6-3 win at No. 3 and Aditya Balda won the No. 5 flight in three sets (6-4, 4-6, 6-2).
- The even numbers finished up the match as Israel Rojas won the No. 4 flight 8-4, and Gregory Normand the No. 6 flight 8-6.
- The Valkyrie T. Glogowski-Watson defeated Trojan Adam Ibrahim in flight two 6-4 7-6.
