Mount Olive, N.C. - The University of Mount Olive softball team splits a pair of games at UNC Pembroke Tuesday afternoon. UMO now moves to 35-11, 16-6 on the season.
GAME ONE INFORMATION
The opening game had UNC Pembroke score the first runs of the game in the second on a solo home run to center.
It took Mount Olive until the fifth to knot he game at one after
Madison Morgan doubled home
Courtlynn Cooney.
A sacrifice fly in the bottom of the sixth sealed the win for UNCP as they took game one.
GAME TWO INFORMATION
Mount Olive in game two flipped an offensive switch as the scored the first run in the first off a
Kylie Emanuele RBI-double. The Braves then tied and took the lead in the bottom half.
UMO broke the tie in the second when a double steal allowed
Katelyn Fulford to score. The Trojans went onto score two more runs and led 4-2. After a one run bottom of the second for UNC Pembroke, Mount Olive kicked up their offense.
A single run scored for UMO in the third followed by four runs in the fourth and five in the fifth as the mercy-ruled the Braves 14-5 after five innings.
TROJAN LEADERS
Emanuele led the team in game two with five RBI off a 3-4 day at the plate.
Hailey Kessinger (9-1) earned the win pitching all five innings.

The Trojans have a week off before they travel to play the Hawks of Chowan University April 20 at 1:00 p.m.
