Murfreesboro, N.C. - The University of Mount Olive softball team swept a pair of games at Chowan University Wednesday afternoon. UMO now moves to 37-11, 18-6 on the season.
GAME ONE INFORMATION
The opening game had UMO and CU square at one after the first.
Mount Olive came alive in the second blasting home five runs to regain the lead at 6-1.
The remainder of the game was all Trojans as UMO scored 12 runs over the next three innings to end the opening battle in a mercy-rule win.
GAME TWO INFORMATION
Mount Olive in game two scored the opening run just as they did in the opener, however, Chowan was held off the boards.
UMO added solo runs in the second and third before CU scored in the bottom of the third.
It was the fourth that saw Chowan tie the game at three on an RBI-double.
Cana Shrock came up with the game-winning hit in the sixth when she connected for a two-run RBI-double.
Mount Olive held off the Hawks' attack and took game two 5-3.
TROJAN LEADERS
Emanuele led the team seven RBI at the plate.
Hannah Killough (18-8) earned the win in both games pitching all 12 innings.

The Trojans return home for their regular-season finale and senior day against Emory & Henry College April, 23 at 1 p.m.
