Box Score MOUNT OLIVE, N.C. - The University of Mount Olive men's tennis team defeated Emmanuel College 5-2 in conference action Friday afternoon in Mount Olive, N.C.
MATCH INFORMATION
The Trojans prevailed in the doubles round winning doubles 1,2 and 3 to earn the doubles point. UMO then went 4-2 in the singles matches taking a 5-2 victory.
INSIDE THE RESULTS
In the Doubles No 1 seed Guilherme Zotin De Oliveira/Armando Ferreira won (6-3).
No. 2 seed Gregory Normand/Elios Briand lost their match (2-6).
Then in the decider Adam Ibrahim/Diego Ortega won the doubles point for the Trojans by winning (6-3).
Guilherme Zotin De Oliveira won the first singles match as the No. 3 seed (6-2,6-2) to earn the first singles point of the afternoon. No. 1 Armando Ferreira gave the Trojans their second singles point winning (7-5,6-2). Aditya Balda clinched victory for the Trojans winning his match (4-6,6-0,6-4). No. 2 seed Adam Ibrahim lost (4-6,5-7). With the victory in the bag the remaining matches were played as pro sets. Gregory Normand won his singles match (8-2). Israel Rodriguez Rojas in the No. 4 singles match lost in a super pro set tiebreak (8-9).
