GAME INFORMATION
The Spartans came out on top as they scored two early goals by Jack Wood and Bryan Wright, which gave Tampa an early 2-0 lead. UMO's Lucas Shein was able to find an opening as he put one in the back of the net, putting the Trojans up on the scoreboard with 8:59 remaining in the first quarter. Tampa found their momentum as they jumped ahead early and never really allowed Mount Olive to fight their way back the remainder of the quarter. The Spartans went on a 6-0 run closing the quarter with a 9-1 lead.
In the second quarter, Tampa continued to stay on fire as the offense kept finding the back of the net and scored the first five goals of the quarter to put them up 14-1. Tim Collins was able to add one for the Trojans with a score of 14-2 going into the half.
In the third quarter, the Trojans had four opportunities to score, but they were not able to capitalize as Tampa's Bryan Wright found the back of the net assisted by Jack Wood. Mount Olive responded with three unassisted goals by Dylan Brunk, Cameron Bope, and Chance Urban, compared to Spartans two. Chance Urban scored the final goal of the third to leave Trojans with an 18-5 deficit going into the final quarter.
Mount Olive surrendered four-straight to open the quarter to put the Spartans up 22-5. The Trojans then went on a 2-1 run as Braydon Hickey, and Chaz Goodman found the back of the net for the Trojans but still trailed behind 23-7. Tampa added one more to the scoreboard, but the Trojans were able to score the game's last goal in a man-up situation to close out the quarter and game, with Tampa taking the 24-8 victory.
