SUMTER, S.C. - The No. 1 seeded Mount Olive Trojans defeat the No. 5 seeded Bulldogs of Barton College 4-2 on Sunday morning in the semifinals of the Conference Carolinas Men's Tennis Championship at the Palmetto Tennis Center in Sumter, S.C.
MATCH INFORMATION
The Bulldogs led the doubles round winning doubles 1 and 3 to earn the doubles point. UMO then went 4-1 in the singles matches taking a 4-2 victory.
INSIDE THE RESULTS
Armando Ferreira in the No. 1 singles match fought hard and took the win (6-2,6-0) for the first singles match. Guilherme Zotin De Oliveira took out the No. 2 singles match up (6-0,6-2) for the second singles point. Israel Rodriguez fell in the No. 4 singles match (6-4,0-6,7-5). Gregory Normand defeated the No. 5 singles match (7(7)-6(4),6-1,6-4) to earn the third singles point for the Trojans. Lastly No. 6 Victor Nunez gave the Trojans the final singles point winning (0-6,6-4,6-3).

The Trojans head into the Conference Carolinas Men's Tennis Championship match scheduled for 3 p.m. today when they will face the No. 2 seed of Belmont Abbey.
