SUMTER, South Carolina - No. 2 Mount Olive defeated the No. 3 Lions of Emmanuel College on Saturday afternoon in the semifinals of the Conference Carolinas Women's Tennis Championship at the Palmetto Tennis Center in Sumter, S.C.

The Lions held the early lead after the doubles round winning doubles 1 and 3. UMO then won four singles sets to take home the 4-1 victory.
INSIDE THE RESULTS
No.1 Liza Voloshyna took the win in two sets (6-2,6-2) over Maria Raich for the first singles point. Ingrid Montero who played in the No. 2 singles defeated Alejandra Guerrero in with a clean sweep (6-1,6-3) for the second singles point. Nele Weber at No. 3 picked up the third point for the Trojans over Elisa Man-Hsuang Wen (6-2,6-1). Lastly, Deike Schipper clinched the No. 6 singles (6-4,6-2) to take earn the fourth pint for the Trojans. No. 4 Ece Yuksel and No .5 Arianna Orozco singles matches were unfinished.
