Box Score FRANKLIN SPRINGS, GA - The University of Mount Olive women's tennis team takes down the Lions of Emmanuel College 6-1 in their last regular season Conference Carolinas matchup Saturday afternoon in Franklin Springs, GA. The UMO women's tennis team ties for first in the regular season championship and earned the No. 2 seed.
MATCH INFORMATION
The Trojans held the early lead after the doubles 1 and 2 to secure the first point. UMO then won five singles sets to take home the 6-1 victory.
INSIDE THE RESULTS
No. 2 Ingrid Montserrat/Deike Schipper and No. 1 Liza Voloshyna/Nele Weber made quick work of their opponents winning 6-3/6-4 respectively to earn the doubles point.
In singles action, UMO won the No. 3, 5, 1, 4, and 2 bouts while the Lions took No. 6, to take the singles games.
Ece Yuksel won at No.3 over Elisa Man-Hsuang in tow sets (7-5,6-1) for the first singles point. Deike Schipper won at No. 5 singles (7-6,6-2) for the second singles point. Liza Voloshyna then picked up the third singles point at No. 1 winning (4-6,7-6,6-3). Arianna Orozco took down the No.4 singles winning (6-4,6-4). Lions Zyanya Rogel wont at No.6 over Bipasha Mehn in one set (8-3) giving Emmanuel their first singles point. Lastly, Ingrid Montserrat took the No. 2 singles match (7-5,7-5) to secure the 6-1 win for the Trojans.

Mount Olive will take the No. 2 seed into the Conference Carolinas women's Tennis Championship. The Trojans will compete on Saturday April 24th against an opponent to be determined. The championships this year are hosted by Palmetto Tennis Center in Sumter, S.C
