BRISTOL, Tennessee- The No. 1 seeded University of Mount Olive men's volleyball team fell to the No. 2 seeded Crusaders of Belmont Abbey College 3-1 in the Finals of the Conference Carolinas Championship Sunday afternoon. The Trojans had Eric Visgitis and Trevor Treser named to the all-tournament team following the match.
GAME INFORMATION
Belmont Abbey had the early lead in the first set taking an 8-3 lead. The Crusaders maintained a five-point lead for the entirety of the set, despite UMO closing the set on a 7-to-4 run.
The second set was still a momentum puller for BAC as the Crusaders took a similar 9-5 lead and increased their lead to 16-11. The Trojans proceeded to go a 6-3 run to draw the deficit down to 19-17. Mount Olive went onto exchanged two points for ever point Belmont Abbey scored as the set became tied four times at the end before BAC ended the frame gathering the final two points to win the set 27-25 and take a two set lead.
The third set had Mount Olive and Belmont Abbey go toe for toe for the first 22 points as the set remained tied at 11 following a kill from Tobi Azeez. The Crusaders took the next two points and the set again went point-for-point. It was not until, with UMO down 21-17 that Azzez started a run to end the set and give Mount Olive the win as the finished the set with an 8-3 run to win 25-23.
The final set saw BAC move out to a modest 11-7 lead early on, but that lead evaporated when UMO tied the set at 13. The set was tied four more times before Belmont Abbey took control and ended the set taking the final 8-of-4 points and won the set 25-22 and the championship match 3-1.

The Trojans were led by Tobi Azeez with 20 kills, Eric Visgitis was close behind with 14. Jarrod Ferguson added 51 assists.
Belmont Abbey Leaders
The Crusaders were led by Andrew Kohut with 21 kills.
