Goldsboro, N.C. - After a night of rain, the Trojans took to a neutral territory to take on the Lions of Emmanuel College in their last game of the regular season. Despite a valiant effort, UMO couldn't come back, resulting in a 2-1 loss. 

INSIDE THE SCORE
Following a change in venue, Mount Olive took the turf ready to play but got pushed back on their heels after an early goal from Emmanuel College. UMO defense stepped up, as well as increased attacking pressure to make up for the mistake the first few minutes into the half. Trojans proceeded to deny Emmanuel's offense another goal before halftime, while having 7 shots of their own, none of which would find the net. Mount Olive trailed 0-1 into halftime. 

The second half proved to be a better start for Mount olive as they had their first scoring opportunity off of a penalty kick. Nathan Esslinger wasn't able to capitalize on this chance, but earned an assist, providing a cross less than two minutes later, that Alfie Pope got on the end of, sending the ball into the lower-left corner of the goal. Mount Olive finally got on the board making the game 1-1, with over 30 minutes remaining. With the win within reach for both teams, the pressure to find the net increased. Regardless of being outshot, Emmanuel found the net in the 67th minute to secure the win. The Trojans were unable to come back and finished the game 2-1. 

Mount Olive moves to 3-3-1 to wrap up their season, as Emmanuel College advances to 3-4 to finish their season.
