WILSON, North Carolina - The University of Mount Olive men's tennis team defeated the Bulldogs of Barton College 6-1 Tuesday afternoon in conference action in Wilson, N.C.
MATCH INFORMATION
The Trojans led the doubles round winning doubles 1,2 and 3 to earn the doubles point. UMO then went 5-1 in the singles matches taking a 6-1 victory.
INSIDE THE RESULTS
Israel Rodriguez Rojas in the No. 4 singles match fought hard and took the win (6-1,6-3) for the first singles match. Gregory Normand fell in the No. 5 singles match (5-7,5-1). Diego Ortega Cadahia also battled the Bulldogs and got the win at No. 6 (2-6,6-3,3-0,WR-0) for the second singles point. Guilherme Zotin De Oliveira defeated the No. 2 singles match (4-6,6-2,6-4) to earn the third singles point. Adam Ibrahim took out the No. 3 singles match (2-6,6-3,6-4) to earn the fourth singles point. Lastly, No. 1 Armando Ferreira gave the Trojans the final singles point winning (6-3,3-6,7-6).
