MOUNT OLIVE, North Carolina - The University of Mount Olive men's tennis team defeated the Crusaders of Belmont Abbey College 4-3 Wednesday afternoon in Conference Carolinas action at the John Neal Walker Tennis Center in Mount Olive, N.C.
MATCH INFORMATION
The Trojans led the doubles round winning doubles 1 and 3 to earn the doubles point. UMO then went 3-3 in the singles matches taking a 4-3 victory.
INSIDE THE RESULTS
Israel Rodriguez Rojas in the No. 4 singles lost to Gabriel Martin (0-6,2-6). Gregory Normand in the No. 5 singles match took the win (6-4,6-1) for the first singles point. Guilherme Zotin De Oliveira then defeated the No. 2 singles match (6-3,6-4) for the second singles point. No. 6 Diego Ortega Cadahia fell to Kai Lloveras (6-2,7-5). Adam Ibrahim fought hard but fell at the No. 3 singles match (6-3,4-6,6-3). Lastly, Armando Ferreira battled it out at the No. 1 singles match to give the Trojans the final singles point winning the match (6-7,6-4,5-7).
