Tigerville, S .C.– The University of Mount Olive women's soccer team defeated the Warriors of Southern Wesleyan University 4-0 in Conference Carolinas action on Sunday afternoon in Tigerville, S.C.
Game Information
The Mount Olive Trojans came out strong firing seven shots in the first 13 minutes of play.
Alex Baker would get the first point on the board, scoring a low corner goal in the 25th minute. Southern Wesleyan would respond by getting their first shot off for the match. The game would go into half-time 1-0, Mount Olive.
In the second half, the Trojans would waste little time as
Alex Baker scored their second goal. Both teams would exchange passes, shots, and throw-ins, as the Warriors would hold off the Trojan offense for almost a third of the match.
Sara Berglund would upset the Warrior's defense as she scored the third goal for the Trojans. Mount Olive would score one more goal courtesy of
Samantha Hamrick who scored the final goal from outside the 18-yard box.
