MOUNT OLIVE, North Carolina - The University of Mount Olive women's tennis team defeated Methodist University 7-0 in a non-conference matchup Sunday afternoon in Mount Olive, N.C.
MATCH INFORMATION
The Trojans led the doubles round winning doubles 1, 2 and 3 to earn the doubles point. UMO then went 6-0 in the singles matches taking a 7-0 victory.
INSIDE THE RESULTS
Mount Olive Liza Voloshyna in No. 1 singles battled it out and took the win (6-2,6-2) for the first singles point. Nele Weber defeated the No. 2 singles match (6-0,6-1) for the second singles point. In No. 3 Ece Yuksel took the win (6,1,6-0) to pick up the third singles point. Ingrid Montero at No. 4 fought hard but pulled out with a win (6-0,6-0) for the fourth singles point. Lastly, No. 5 Arianna Orozco and No. 6 Deike Schipper both swept (6-2,6-2) and (6-1,6-3) to earn the last two singles points.
