MOUNT OLIVE, North Carolina - The University of Mount Olive men's tennis team defeated Methodist University 6-1 Saturday afternoon in non-conference action in Mount Olive, N.C.
MATCH INFORMATION
The Trojans led the doubles round winning doubles 1, 2 and 3 to earn the doubles point. UMO then went 5-1 in the singles matches taking a 6-1 victory.
INSIDE THE RESULTS
Armando Ferreira in the No.1 singles match battled hard and took the win (6-0,6-2,6-3) for the first singles point. Guilherme Oliveria then took out the No. 2 singles match (6-7,6-1,6-2) for the second singles point. Paul Sitkiewiez also battled Methodist closely and got the win at No. 3 singles (6-3,6-3,6-2) for the third singles point. Israel Rojas defeated the No. 4 singles match (6-1,6-0) in the for the fourth singles point. Lastly, Victor Nunez gave the Trojans the final singles point winning (6-3,6-2).
