Box Score Florence, S.C. --- The University of Mount Olive Men's Soccer program (12-6-0) came up short over second-seeded Chowan University (12-3-1) in the Semifinals of the Conference Carolinas Championship, Friday afternoon at the Florence Soccer Complex in Florence, S.C.
INSIDE THE SCORE:
The semifinals of the men's soccer conference championships started with a bang as Chowan hammered home the go-ahead goal 2:21 into the opening whistle. The Trojans were handcuffed offensively registering only three shot attempts, as they went into the half down 1-0.
The second half was not much better for UMO as they were able to record only two shots and one corner. Mount Olive also had to play a man-down for the final 6:10 of the match, providing Chowan the opportunity to close out the 1-0 win.
At the conclusion of the championships,
Alfie Pope was named to the All-Tournament Team.

Chowan Leaders:
The Hawks were led by Ten Drexhage with the game-winner for CU.
