Franklin Springs, Ga. – The University of Mount Olive women's soccer team took down Emmanuel 5-1 in Conference Carolinas action, Saturday afternoon in Franklin Springs, Ga. The win secured the Trojans the 2021 Conference Carolinas Regular-Season Championship.
 
Game Information
Mount Olive (14-0-2, 11-0-1) was not able to score until late when Shaunalee Govia scored on a penalty kick in the 42nd minute.
 
Emmanuel (5-10-1, 4-7-1) tied the match in the final 40 seconds of the first period and the game went into halftime tied.

UMO came unglued in the second as the Trojans rattled off four unanswered goals. Jasmine Pinter scored the first in the 56th minute. Three minutes later Nya Baccelli scored unassisted making it 3-1. The final two goals came from Emily Sanders (64:43) and Pinter's second goal of the game (73:24).

Trojan Leaders
Mount Olive was led by Pinter with two scores off six shots.

Emmanuel was led by Emilia Dingwall with a goal off two shots.
