GREENVILLE, South Carolina - The Conference Carolinas office announced this week's Players of the Week, and the University of Mount Olive's Liza Voloshyna earned the honors for the first time this season. This is the first award for the women's team.
Voloshyna helped the Trojans with a 5-2 victory against Catawba and 7-0 victory against Chowan.
The Freshmen in the No. 2 singles matched battled it out and took the first point win for the Trojans (6-4,6-4) against Catawba. Voloshyna also defeated the No.1 doubles match (6-1) and No. 2 singles match (6-2,4-6,10-4) against Chowan.
The Trojans are back in competition on February 26th against N.C. Wesleyan at John Neal Walker Tennis Center in Mount Olive, North Carolina.
