GREENSBORO, North Carolina - The University of Mount Olive men's tennis team defeated Catawba University 6-1 Saturday afternoon in Conference Carolinas action in Greensboro, N.C.
MATCH INFORMATION
The Trojans led the doubles round winning doubles 1, 2 and 3 to earn the doubles point. UMO then went 5-1 in the singles matches taking a 6-1 victory.
INSIDE THE RESULTS
Armando Ferreira in the No.1 singles match battled hard and took the win (7-5,6-2) for the first singles point. Milosh Petrovic then took out the No. 2 singles match (7-5,5-7,6-3) for the second singles point. Paul Sitkiewiez also battled the Indians closely and got the win at No. 4 singles (3-6,6-1,6-2) for the third singles point. Victor Nunez defeated the No. 5 singles match (8-6) in the for the fifth singles point. Lastly, Gregory Normand gave the Trojans the final singles point winning (6-2,6-3).
