MOUNT OLIVE, North Carolina - The University of Mount Olive men's basketball team defeated North Greenville University 84-79 in Conference Carolinas action Saturday night. The Trojans improve to 16-11 overall and 10-9 in the conference, while North Greenville falls to 11-15, 7-12. It was also senior night for Cameron Robinson, Dominique Tham, and Matthew Snyder.

INSIDE THE SCORE
The Crusaders opened the contest scoring the first seven points before UMO responded with three points of their own to draw the early deficit to 7-3 with 57:17 remaining. North Greenville maintained their lead with a 22-24 run with 4:09 remaining in the first half, but Mount Olive's Darius Spragley made a layup tying the game at 29. Both teams fought hard the remainder of the first half as the Crusaders maintained their lead only by two points ending the first half 43-41.

The second half began with a Trojan basket at the 19:33 mark by Micheal Brown, tying the game 43-43. Mount Olive fought hard to regain the lead, but the Crusaders wouldn't surrender. With the game tied 51-51 at the 14:58 mark, Mount Olive was able to bounce back with an 8-7 run taking the lead 59-57. Both teams battled it out, but UMO was able to maintain the lead for the remainder of the game with a 25-22 run to take home the 84-79 win.

MOUNT OLIVE LEADERS
The Trojans were led by Darius Spragley with a career-high 32 points. Cameron Robinson had a double-digit scoring night as well with 11 points.

NORTH GREENVILLE LEADERS
The Crusaders were led by Dj Brooks with 18 points.C.j. Jamison, Seth Hewitt, Jacob Redding, and Jalon Cokley all had double-digit scoring performances with 14,14,13,12 points.

KEY MOMENT
The key moment of the game was the second half when the Trojans got the 8-7 run advantage and never surrendering up the lead.
