WINGATE, North Carolina - The University of Mount Olive men's tennis team fell to Wingate University 7-0 Friday in Wingate, N.C.
MATCH INFORMATION
The Bulldogs led the doubles round winning doubles 1, 2 and 3. The Bulldogs then swept the singles matches with Wingate taking a 7-0 victory.
INSIDE THE RESULTS
Mount Olive's Jack Middleton in the No.1 singles match fought hard but fell (2-6,5-7) for the first singles point. Gregory Normand then fell in the No. 4 singles match (2-6,1-6) for the second singles point. Victor Nunez also battled the Bulldogs closely but fell short in No. 3 singles (2-6,3-6) for the third singles point. Paul Sitkiewiez in No. 2 fell to the Bulldogs (0-6, 3-6). Lastly, Juan Arbelaez No.5 and Thiago Bertolani No.6 both fell (0-6, 0-6) in the last two singles points.
