MOUNT OLIVE, North Carolina - The University of Mount Olive men's tennis team defeated Methodist University 6-1 and 7-0 in the 2020 spring season-opener Saturday at the John Neal Walker Tennis Center. The doubleheader was rescheduled from Friday's single match in Fayetteville, N.C. and played as a doubleheader in Mount Olive.

The Trojans only dropped one match all day, in the first match in no. 6 singles play, en route to taking both matches.
INSIDE THE RESULTS MATCH ONE
Mount Olive came out hot as all three pairs won en route to taking the doubles point.
In singles play, Paul Sitkiwiez won at No. 4 singles Armando Ferreira took No. 1, Gregory Normand won No. 5, Victor Nunez won No. 3, and Milosh Petrovich took No. 2 singles putting Mount Olive ahead 6-0.
The Trojans fell in No. 6 singles Juan Arbelaez went three sets after taking the first 6-3 but dropped the final two, however it would not slow down the UMO Train en route to their 6-1 victory.
INSIDE THE RESULTS MATCH TWO
Mount Olive continued its' hot streak in the second match as all three pairs won once again en route to taking the doubles point.
In singles play, all six Trojans swept their matches in pro-set format due to a rain delay at the John Neal Walker Tennis Center. Four of the six matches won via a score of 8-1 including No. 2, No. 3, No. 4 and No. 6 singles.
