MOUNT OLIVE, N.C. - The University of Mount Olive women's tennis team defeated the Warriors of Southern Wesleyan University 7-2 on Friday evening in Conference Carolinas at the Rev. Leroy C. Tennis Complex in Central, S.C.

INSIDE THE RESULTS
- The Trojans came out of the doubles round leading the Warriors 3-0 after winning all doubles games.
- Sonja Gärtner & Areej Fareh won doubles No. 1, 8-6, while Jennifer Byrd & Alex Goffin won doubles No. 2, 8-3.
- Nicole La Chappelle & Emma Burroughs won on court three, 8-2 over SWU's No. 3 doubles pair.
- UMO won four of the six singles games to take the overall match 7-2 over the Warriors.
- Goffin won 6-2, 6-2 in the No. 2 singles position while Fareh won by default at the No. 3 flight.
- Byrd won a pro set against the No. 5 player from SWU 8-0 and Burroughs wrapped up competition at the No. 6 flight with a 6-0, 6-1 win.
