Mount Olive, N.C. – The University of Mount Olive men's tennis team glided past Emmanuel College, 9-0, in Conference Carolinas action at the John Neal Walker Tennis Center in Mount Olive, N.C.

INSIDE THE RESULTS
- The Trojans opened the match with a sweep of doubles play.
- Senior Martim Sousa and sophomore Jose Cortijos combined to take an 8-1 victory at No. 1 doubles, while sophomores Ogulcan Deniz and Martin Moser teamed up to sweep the Lions at No. 2 doubles, 8-0.
- UMO continued its dominance in singles competition earning straight-sets wins in five of six matchups.
- Sousa captured a 6-0, 6-1 win at No. 4 singles, while junior Sherzod Akramov earned a 6-1, 6-2 victory at No. 6 singles to help push the Trojans to the 9-0 victory.
- Adding onto UMO's advantage, Deniz grabbed an 8-0 win at No. 1 singles, Cortijos earned a marathon 3-6, 6-3, 10-7 victory at No. 2 singles, Moser powered his way to an 8-2 win at No. 3 singles, and freshman Jack Middleton captured an 8-2 win at No. 5 singles.
