Murfreesboro, N.C. – The University of Mount Olive women's tennis team fell to Chowan University, 8-1, on Saturday afternoon in Murfreesboro, N.C.

INSIDE THE RESULTS
- In doubles play, the Hawks opened the match with victories at No. 2 and 3 before the Trojans responded with an 8-4 win at No. 1 by senior Stella Di Michelle and junior Nicole La Chappelle.
- Chowan captured victories at No. 1 through 6 singles to earn the 8-1 match victory.
- For the second-straight match, Di Michelle nearly won a marathon matchup, as Di Michelle eventually fell at No. 1, 6-4, 4-6, 6-10.
