No. 43 University of Mount Olive defeated Barton College 5-4 Tuesday afternoon in Conference Carolinas men's tennis in Wilson, N.C. Trojans won the final two singles matches to take the match.

Martin Moser and Yannic Stark took the final doubles match 8-3 to bring Mount Olive (7-3 Overall, 4-0 Conference Carolinas) to within 2-1 heading into singles play. Sherzod Akramov tied the matches as he took #6 singles 6-2, 6-0. Martim Sousa again tied the match after a defeat in #5 singles, and won #4 singles 6-0, 6-4. 

Barton (8-8, 3-2) took #1 singles to take the lead once again at 4-3. The Trojans rallied, however as Martin Moser took #3 singles 6-4, 6-1 to tie the match. Jose Luis Cortijos won the match for Mount Olive as he took #2 singles 7-5, 6-2.

Mount Olive will have a short rest before heading to Bristol, Tenn. to take on King University April 1 at 11 a.m.
